Membership grants you the privilege of access to the Alano for and between meetings. Review our policies regarding building access
- Access is provided to Alano members ONLY – non-members must not be given the access code under any circumstances.
- If anyone asks you for the code, instruct them to contact a member of the board.
- Groups: Your trusted servant or group member that opens the building for your regular meetings must be a P2A Society member to comply with established policies.
- A Group Liaison / leader / trusted servant must secure the building after every meeting. This includes:
- Secure the front door by removing the sleeve from the push bar.
- Check that every window in every room is closed and locked.
- Ensure all coffee warmers are turned off.
- Verify (by verbally asking) that no non-members are left alone in the building. At least one member must be present at all times accompanying any non-members.
- Unaccompanied non-members inside the building are trespassing.
- Club hours are 06:00 am to 11:00 pm every day. Nobody may enter or remain on the premises outside of these hours.
- Any person on the premises or in the building between 11:00 pm and 06:00 am is trespassing.
- We may change the code at any time if it is deemed compromised. If this happens, we will notify membership as quickly as possible by email.
Acceptable use of Plymouth 2 Alano facility:
- The Plymouth 2 Alano may only be used for the following acceptable purposes:
- Meetings and events approved in advance by the Plymouth 2 Alano Board.
- Recovery-focused one-on-one or small, ad hoc group meetings outside of scheduled meeting hours.
- Scheduled group meetings have priority access to all meeting and breakout rooms during their scheduled meeting time.
- There must always be at least one P2A Society member present at all times.
- Any other use of the facilities must be approved in advance by the board. You must petition the board for approval at least two weeks prior to any event.
Instructions and tips for entry:
- Enter the code slowly and carefully, one digit at a time.
- After the final digit is entered, an audible *click!* indicates that the door has unlocked. Pull it open.
- If the door does not open after you have successfully keyed in the code:
- Wait! Please be patient. It takes about 10 seconds for the unlock cycle to reset.
- Repeat the steps above until the door successfully unlocks.
- As a last resort, the schedule posted on the front window includes board contact information.
By entering the building or renewing your membership, you affirm your agreement with all Plymouth 2 Alano Society policies. Violation of these policies will result in termination of membership and other remedies.
Thank you for your loyalty, generosity and for helping ensure that Plymouth 2 Alano is a safe place for recovery and healing!
